- The inside of the foot must not exceed the inner line of the bass bar
- The outside of the foot may need to be shortened so that it does not protrude more than 2-3 mm beyond the outer edge of the bass bar
- There should be 7-8 mm of wood remaining under the A and C strings
- Hand selected wood quality
